I-83 Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash In Central PA

Interstate 83 has reopened several hours after a crash in Central Pennsylvania.

Part of Interstate 83 was shut down due to a multiple-vehicle crash on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. 

The crash closed I-83 northbound between Exit 19 to Market Street and Exit 21A to Route 30 East/Arsenal Road.

The crash was reported at 6:42 a.m. on Oct. 4. 

As of 8 a.m., the roadway was still shuttered and major delays were ongoing. Around 9:30 a.m. the roadway appeared to have reopened, on PennDOT's 511PA traffic maps.

The number of vehicles involved and any injuries are unknown.
